➢The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India launched ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya’ (SBSV) initiative in 2014 to ensure that all schools in India have access to separate functional toilets for boys and girls. The initiative also has its emphasis on promoting safe and appropriate hygiene practices in schools and behavior among children.
➢1.Each school in India will have proper and clean drinking water.Also, all the schools will have separate toilets for boys and girls.
2.Hand wash sanitation is also a part of the Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan. So, school will need to provide a proper hand washing area.
3.The idea is to make the schools more hygienic. And hence, proper cleanin mechanisms will also form a part of the Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan.
4.Further, government will build capacities of the schools. If there are no tables and chairs for students, government will provide it mandatorily.
