★ ఎంపికైన
అభ్యర్థుల జాబితా ఇస్రో ప్రకటించాక పూర్తి వివరాలతో కూడిన ధ్రువపత్రాలను
మార్చి 23లోగా అప్‌లోడ్‌ చేయాలి. వీటిని ఇస్రో అధికారులు పరిశీలించిన తర్వాత
మార్చి 30న తుది జాబితా వెల్లడిస్తారు.
★ అర్హతలు
ఇలా.. : యువికాలో ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రయివేటు పాఠశాలల్లో గతేడాది
సీబీఎస్‌ఈ, ఐసీఎస్‌ఈ, స్టేట్‌ సిలబస్‌ల్లో
ఎనిమిదో తరగతి పూర్తి చేసి ప్రస్తుతం తొమ్మిదో తరగతి చదువుతున్న విద్యార్థులకు
మాత్రమే అవకాశమిచ్చారు.
★ విద్యాభ్యాస
కాలంలో చూపిన ప్రతిభ ఆధారంగా ఇస్రో ప్రత్యేకాధికారులు ఎంపిక చేస్తారు.
దేశవ్యాప్తంగా జరిగే వడపోతలో రాష్ట్రానికి ముగ్గురు చొప్పున అవకాశం కల్పిస్తారు.
★ ఎంపికలో
8వతరగతిలో సాధించిన మార్కులను బట్టి 60శాతం వెయిటేజీ ఉంటుంది. 2016 నుంచి జిల్లా,
రాష్ట్ర, జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ
స్థాయిల్లో వ్యాసరచన, వక్తృత్వ, చర్చా
కార్యక్రమాల్లో ప్రతిభ చూపిన వారికి 10శాతం, క్రీడల్లో ప్రతిభకు
10శాతం, ఎన్‌సీసీ, స్కౌట్స్‌ అండ్‌
గైడ్స్‌ విభాగాల్లో సభ్యులుగా ఉంటే 5శాతం, గ్రామీణ
ప్రాంతాల్లో చదివే వారికి 15శాతం ఇలా ప్రాధాన్యతా క్రమంలో ఎంపిక చేస్తారు.
★ ఆయా
కేంద్రాలకు వెళ్లేందుకు అయ్యే రవాణా వ్యయాన్ని ఇస్రోనే చెల్లిస్తుంది. రైలులో
రెండోతరగతి ఏసీ ఛార్జీలను రానుపోనూ చెల్లిస్తుంది. విద్యార్థి వెంట వచ్చే
సంరక్షకులు/తల్లిదండ్రుల్లో ఒకరికి రెండోతరగతి ఏసీ ఛార్జీలు ఇస్తుంది.

ఏడాది మే 11వ తేది నుంచి 22వ తేది వరకు ఇస్రోకు చెందిన అహ్మదాబాద్, షిల్లాంగ్, బెంగళూరు, తిరువనంతపురం
అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధన కేంద్రాల సందర్శనకు అవకాశం కల్పిస్తారు.
★ శాస్త్రవేత్తలతో
ముఖాముఖి, అంతరిక్షంలో సాధిస్తున్న ప్రగతి, సవాళ్లు; శాస్త్రవేత్తలు కావాలంటే ఏం చేయాలి..
ప్రయోగశాలల సందర్శన, నిపుణులతో చర్చాగోష్టి తదితర
కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొనవచ్చు.
Indian Space Research Organisation has launched a special
programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” “YUva VIgyani
KAryakram” from the year 2019. The
second session of the programme is scheduled to be held during the month of May
2020.
The Program is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge
on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger ones
with the intent of arousing their interest in the emerging areas of Space
activities. The program is thus aimed at creating awareness amongst the
youngsters who are the future building blocks of our Nation. ISRO has chalked
out this programme to “Catch them young”.
The programme will be of two weeks duration during summer
holidays (May 11-22, 2020) and the
schedule will include invited talks, experience sharing by the eminent
scientists, facility and lab visits, exclusive sessions for discussions with
experts, practical and feedback sessions.
3 students each from each State/ Union Territory will be
selected to participate in this programme covering CBSE, ICSE and State
syllabus. 5 additional seats are reserved for OCI candidates across the
country.
The selection will be done through online registration. The
online registration will be open from February 03 to 24, 2020. Those who have
finished 8th standard and currently studying in 9th standard (in the academic
year 2019-20) will be eligible for the programme. Students who are studying in
India including OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible for the programme.
The selection is based on the 8th Standard academic performance and
extracurricular activities. The selection criteria is given below.
Students belong to the rural area have been given special
weightage in the selection criteria. In case there is tie between the selected
candidates, the younger candidates will be given priority.
The interested students can register online through
ISRO website www.isro.gov.in from February 03, 2020 (1700 hrs) to 5 March 2020 (1800 hrs). The exact link will be available on 03 February, 2020. The
list of the provisionally selected candidates from each state will be announced after 5th March, 2020. The provisionally selected candidates will be requested to
upload the attested copies of the relevant certificates on or before 23 March,
2020. After verifying the relevant certificates the final selection list will
be published on 30 March, 2020.
