Rational Numbers: Any number that can be written in fraction form is a rational number. This includes integers, terminating decimals, and repeating decimals as well as fractions. An integer can be written as a fraction simply by giving it a denominator of one, so any integer is a rational number


The zero and the counting numbers (1,2,3,…) make up the set of whole numbers. But not every number is a whole number. Our decimal system lets us write numbers of all types and sizes, using a clever symbol called the decimal point.

A Rational number is any number of the form a b , where a and b are integers and b = 0. Therefore, any numbers that can be written as fractions are Rational numbers e.g. The top number in a fraction is called the Numerator and the bottom number is called the Denominator
