NFTW Celebration of Teachers' Day function on 5th September 2019

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the subject read above and they are informed that every year 5th September is being celebrated as Teachers' Day (GURUPUJOTHSAVAM) throughout the Country. This Day has a special significance for us, as it happens to be the birthday of our revere former President of India late Dr.SARVEPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN who himself was a Teacher of International Status.
The National Foundation for Teachers’ Welfare, A.P. functioning in the office of the Commissioner of School Education, A.P. Ibrahimpatnam, Amaravathi, under the control of the Secretary-Treasurer, National Foundation for Teachers' Welfare & Commissioner of School Education has been honouring meritorious teachers since 1984. The awards of National Foundation for Teachers' Welfare, A.P. will be given to the IN-SERVICE AND RETIRED TEACHERS at the rate of 4 (four) awards for each district as detailed below:-
Teachers with at least 20 years of Teaching Experience and Teacher Educators working in DIETs/IASEs/CTEs and Physical Education Colleges are eligible and recommend the teachers duly following the points of criteria for awards:
a. The Academic Standards of his Students.
b. Teaching Methodology being followed by the teacher.
c. Innovation done by the teacher.
d. Special efforts of teacher to improve enrollment, and retention.
e. Sincerity and Commitment towards the job like regularity of attendance, not bringing any political pressure for transfers etc.,.
f. Willingness to work in Interior areas.
