ద్రావణాలు

రెండు లేదా అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ సమ్మేళనాలున్న సజాతీయ మిశ్రమాన్ని ద్రావణం అంటారు. ద్రావణంలో తక్కువ పరిమాణ మున్న ఘటకాన్ని (అంశిక పదార్థాన్ని) ద్రావితమనియు ఎక్కువ పరిమాణమున్న ఘటకాన్ని ద్రావణి అంటారు. 
ఉదా : ఉప్పును నీటిలో కరిగించిన ఉప్పుద్రావణం ఏర్పడుతుంది. ఉప్పు ద్రావితము, నీరు ద్రావణి.

స్థిర ఉష్ణోగ్రత వద్ద 100 గ్రాముల ద్రావణిలో కరుగు ద్రావిత గరిష్ట పరిమాణాన్ని ద్రావణీయత అంటారు. ప్రమాణ ఘనపరిమాణం గల ద్రావణంలో కరిగియున్న ద్రావిత పరిమాణాన్ని 'గాఢత' అని అంటారు.
