Guidelines for safe online gaming and advisory note to parents and teachers;
certain instructions – issued

-09.09.2021 from the Secretary, Ministry of Education, DoSEL, Govt. of India,
New Delhi.
All the District Educational Officers
and Additional Project Coordinators in the State is invited to the reference
cited and hereby informed that the Secretary, Ministry of Education, DOSEL,
Govt. of India, New Delhi has stated that in this new era of technology online
gaming is very popular with children, because online games excite them and make
them to play more which can lead to addiction and can be easily accessed on
PC's, Mobile devices and tablets which intern affecting their time for family
school and social life and lead to serious gaming addiction, considered as
gaming disorder.
Hence, the Secretary, Ministry of
Education, DOSEL, Govt. of India, New Delhi has instructed to recommend a one
pager advisory to students and teachers for wider circulation and to educate
them for necessary action ensuring effective use in overcoming all online
gaming downsides with the associated mental and physical stress of children.
In view of the above, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators in the State are hereby requested to disseminate the above said one pager advisory to students, parents, teachers, and Community for wider use.
