చరిత్రలో ఈరోజు

➥1970: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లో ఒంగోలు జిల్లా అవతరణ. తరువాత 1972 డిసెంబర్ 5 వ తేదీన జిల్లా పేరును ప్రకాశం జిల్లాగా మార్చారు.

➥దక్షిణ భారతదేశంలో హిందీ వ్యాప్తిచేసిన మహా పండితుడు మరియు స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధులు మోటూరి సత్యనారాయణ 1902 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.

➥ప్రముఖ రచయిత కుష్వంత్ సింఘ్ 1915 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.

➥మూడు వందలకు పైగా సాహిత్య పరిశోధన వ్యాసాలు, పరిశోధన పత్రిక సంపాదకత్వం గల తిమ్మావజ్జల కోదండ రామయ్య 1925 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.

➥వైద్య శాస్త్రవేత్త. శ్వాస వ్యవస్థ వైద్యులలో అగ్రగణ్యుడు వెలమాటి రాందాస్ 1923 వ సం.లో జన్మించారు.

➥జాతీయ విద్యకై విశేష కృషి చేసిన వారు కోపల్లె హనుమంతరావు 1922 వ సం.లో మరణించారు.

సర్వ రోగనివారిని - పసుపు

ఐదు వేల సంవత్సరాల క్రితం మన ఆయుర్వేద, గృహవైద్యాల్లో వాడుకలో ఉన్న పసుపు గురించీ అందులోని కుర్క్యుమిన్ అనే రసాయనం గురించీ కొత్త సంగతులెన్నో చెప్పుకొస్తున్నారు పాశ్చాత్య నిపుణులు. టాక్సిన్లని బయటకు పంపించడం ద్వారా పసుపు కాలేయ పనితీరుని మెరుపరుస్తుందనీ, వృద్ధాప్యాన్ని అడ్డుకుంటుందనీ, క్యాన్సర్ కణాల పెరుగుదలనూ ఇది అడ్డుకుంటుంది. ముఖ్యంగా క్లోమ, ప్రొస్టేట్, చర్మ క్యాన్సర్లను నివారిస్తుందట. మంటను తగ్గిస్తుంది. హృద్రోగాలనీ నియంత్రిస్తుంది. ఆర్దయిటిస్తో పోరాడుతుంది. జ్ఞాపకశక్తినీ పెంచుతుంది. ఆహారానికి రంగునీ రుచినీ ఇవ్వడంతోబాటు జీర్ణశక్తికీ తోడ్పడుతుంది. ఇంకా కీళ్ల నొప్పులు, పొట్టనొప్పి, డయేరియా, తేన్పులు, ఆకలి లేకపోవడం, కామెర్లు, బ్రాంకైటిస్, తలనొప్పి, చర్మ సంబంధ సమస్యలు, జలుబు, జ్వరాలూ, .. ఇలా ఒకటేమిటి, సకల వ్యాధులకూ కుర్క్యుమిన్ మందులా పనిచేస్తుందని అధ్యయనాలూ పరిశీలనలూ వెల్లువెత్తడంతో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా పసుపు వాడకం పెరిగింది. దాంతో క్యాప్సూల్స్ రూపంలోనే కాకుండా ఆహార పదార్థాల రూపంలోనూ దీన్ని ఎక్కువగా తీసుకుంటున్నారు.
